Rhenium sulfide
Rhenium forms two sulfurized re2s7 and res2.
Rhenium hepulfide is a dark brown precipitate that seeps into the alkali
metal perlite solution for a long time, but the precipitation is not
quantitative, because Re2O7 is obvious. It is dissolved in alkaline
sulfide solution.
Quantitative precipitation occurs when sodium thiothiothiosulfate
Na2S2O3 interacts with rhenium acid.
7Na2S2O3+2HReO4=Re2S7+7Na2SO4+H2O.
The most comprehensive sedimentation was achieved in the concentration
range of 2-7-h.2.2so4. Or HCl 1-4-h
In the heating without air contact, re2s7 will separate from the zinc
disulfide of res2. When heated in air, re2s7 is oxidized to Re2O7.
Rhenium disulfide (res2) is formed under the direct interaction between
rhenium and sulfur. It is a black substance that is stable in the air;
when heated, it oxidizes to re27. Re2s7 produces heat of 42 kcal
