Application of Pure Granular zinc
Granular zinc is a medium fractional substance, consisting of zinc
particles of a given shape and size.
Specifications
Release form: granules.
Granule shape: drop, oval, circle.
Granule color: silvery.
It differs in chemical composition, particle size distribution, specific
gravity, purity of the alloy, bulk density, color, scope of application.
Granular zinc is produced by castings. Feedstock type: zinc waste,
scrap.
Method of obtaining granules: castings. Granules are characterized by
high brittleness, low weight, high corrosion resistance.
Under normal conditions, zinc granules are prone to embrittlement, in
air they darken.
When the temperature rises to + 150C, granular zinc acquires plasticity
and is easy to mold.
Granules are transported in special containers.
Application
Granular zinc is used in:
radio electronics,
instrumentation,
electroplating,
electrical engineering,
metallurgy and foundry.
Zinc granules are used for the galvanizing technique (creating
anti-corrosion protective coatings), as a reducing agent in the
production of gold, cadmium, copper and other metals. Used to obtain
intermetallic compounds.
